Americana Meets Beatlemania!

Randy Bowles, long-time Seattle singer/guitarist, plays "Americana Meets Beatlemania"! Randy led the Seattle folk duo/trio Spirit Ridge in the 80's/90's and appeared at Folklife 6 times, on stages sponsored by KBCS and KUOW. Prior to this, in the 1970's, Randy was bandleader for the great Country singer, Rose Maddox, whenever she appeared in Eastern Washington. Randy placed 5th in America in the Grand Ole Opry's 50th Anniversary Talent Search. Later, Randy was lead singer for the long-time Seattle country group sponsored by KMPS, Stampede Pass. Willie Nelson sat in with them in 1977. Other alums include "Country" Dave Harmonson, Zoe Muth and the Lost Highrollers' steel guitarist. Recently, Randy was featured in Seattle journalist Bill White's article spotlighting veteran Seattle performers, in the September 2012 online edition of CityLiving Seattle. Randy's videos are on youtube. His latest features his 2012 performance of "Town of Fools", which he first recorded with The Velvet Illusions in 1966.
