With John Palmes

Bio:
John Palmes lives in Juneau, Alaska where he began working on a simple way to teach vocal harmony and basic music theory. That was over 20 years ago at the Alaska Folk Festival and he has been teaching this workshop regularly there and at the Folklife Festival in Seattle in the years since. "My brother, sister and I had the same great chorus director and learned how to sing harmony together. We sang so much that we had to have a rule... no three part harmony at the dinner table." When you don't know the words or the tune or when the pitch is too high or too low, you can always sing harmony and answer the melody.
